Chad, you orc-deficient sword, just hunt down a necromancer! Then your momma can dual wield Sworc and Chad! Afterwards you can enact revenge on Orcadia for Sworc’s terrible (but completely justified) banishment!
Is his uncle possibly Sharp Sharply? Sharp has the same hair color as Chad’s Mom, and it would provide some explanation as to what Chad and Sharp are fighting about in CVI. Obviously that’d make Sharp a half-brother to Chad’s Mom, since he isn’t a merblade. But I think theory has merit.
Edit: Sharp is a merblade; I am a fool. And my theory is all but certain.
His uncle is indeed Sharp Sharply, who has nightmares about Chad’s dad slicing his chin open.
