Why are the dark knights using sickle’s swords instead of the edgesmith’s?

All of the dark knights using the edgesmith’s swords died of poisoning.
But still, who wants to use the butt cleaning sword?

based on the sword of time’s pommel having the demon of sacred oaths on it in Swords | DLXXVIII - The Darkness Before Time, i’d assume this happens at the end.

wow that is an incredibly large demon sword
so is the king of drakness related to this war, what happens with the night and bright knights 
If it is then it is probably would say something like “you are in danger” at that point.
At this point it’s not a sword. Just a demon
