Does anyone recognize the yellow fella behind the Monster Magician?
I don’t know if anyone else has said it yet, but I have a theory that the monster magician gets his powers from the 7 eyed demon sword. Not the one we know, they are technically the 8 eyed demon sword, but one eye was taken out by Kargob. The actual 7 eyed demon sword has never been mentioned, but the monster magician has strange and powerful abilities and a monstrous appearance. He is now also accompanied by a mysterious spirit that looks like a sword soul. What really proves this is that his coat has exactly 7 eyes on it, 3 on either side of the chest and 1 on his right arm. Further evidence comes from the 7 headed wyvern, which has both exactly 7 heads and the same color scheme as the monster magician, suggesting that before the monster magician, it inhabited the wyvern. We also have proof that not all demon swords are evil shown by the supposed 7 eyed demon sword that we know and we know that demon/godswords can possess people, as shown by the demon king, or they can manifest as clothing or armor, as shown by the lake monster granting Harpe a portion of the swords power through magical armor.

Intresting… he does look like a person who has joined a demon sword, like the two-eyed dire wolf or when the Demon of Relentless Omens possessed the Whitesmith.
Hey, really sorry to point this out, it kind of breaks things, but I noticed in CLXVII the Monster Magician has an eighth eye on his right arm, whereas it shows up on his left arm in this comic… so I think his coat has 8 eyes.
I am curious about that extra soul though, that’s interesting.

That is a good point, although it doesn’t mean he isn’t a demon sword. In the secret text for CCXV-Six Sword master, the secret text says that the seven headed wyvern ate the nine eyed demon sword. This means that this could still be a demon sword, but the nine eyed one instead of seven eyed. It still connects to the seven headed wyvern also.

Nah, that Text is only a pun based on the old joke “why does every number fear the 7? Because 7 8 9”. The joke is that 8 sounds like ate.

I got a slightly different theory.
The character Hack, from some of Quest Sprouts adventures, he mentions having a shard of a magic sword within him.
What if, something similar is going on the Monster magician, and this Sword aside from being HELLA magical, is also over a 100 years old and has a soul it’s own.
And as such the magician would be bonded with this soul.

Guys. Maybe he is a mersword. I mean, he looks old, maybe 100 and we never really see his lower half
