isn’t every new smartsword™ model their smartest sword yet ?
wait…3 yellow dots…black design…and with 33% more pandemonium?
GUYS I THINK THIS IS THE FINALIZED VERSION OF THE DEMONIC SMARTSWORD PROTOTYPE
Great Baltad, the prototype, it’s in the comic’s tags!! This is the end result of that sword.
So, now Orcs Labs have finished their Demonic Smartsword Prototype, there’s no reason they won’t scour the Sworld for samples of the other Demon Swords, thus being able to create Demonic Smartswords for every occasion.
Then, what incentive would there be to stop them from attempting to cross those Demonic Smartswords to create Greater and Greater Demonic Smartswords, and eventually creating a near-PanDEMONic Smartsword?
my word, is that how PanDEMONium returns to destroy the sworld at the pommel of the longsword of time?
Stabnarok is nigh!
KE KE KE KE KE KE KE KE
but there is hope. Harpe and Joyeuse are hunting the demon swords and have slain Unspeakable Darkness, perhaps they can prevent the rise of PanDEMONium by the orc’s hands.
They were so caught up with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to consider whether they should
Actually, Harpe and Joyeuse are unwittingly playing into Orcs Labs’ hands by dispatching the various demon swords.
After all, that is how Orcs Labs got their Boundless Hunger sample in the first place!
well actually Steve got the Boundless Hunger sample by giving Ryan a smartsword™ and then having said smartsword™ betray Ryan instead of help him. My point is that Boundless Hunger was very much alive and Steve only got the sample because he gave the guy who was hunting the demon a smartsword™ long before he actually got to the demon. it was a rare opportunity that Steve took advantage of.
I don’t think a demon sword being dead would be much of an obstacle to Steve. Not as long as he could obtain a viable sample from it.
that is true. our only hope seems to be that Eternal Slumber doesn’t have a phsyical form. hopefully he will be content in the realm of dreams with Pest Sprout and that random old gnome from Eternally Bound
wait a flaming minute. the 8th demon, I would assume it is necessary for PanDEMONium’s return…but how could Steve possible get that one? even if he is the sworld and not lost across time and space, how could Steve get a sample of that demon?
Well, if Kargob made the Sworld from the body of the 8th demon, and every sword that isn’t a demon sword nor a godsword is made from raw materials mined/quarried/harvested from the Sworld, then wouldn’t it make sense that every sword is in some way a sample of that demon?
Maybe that is the origin of the sentient swords, such as the Beginner’s Blade, and Chad?
beginner’s blade maybe but Chad is a living sword due to his papa being a sworc and his mama being a merblade. also, I imagine the orcs would have discovered demonic energy if that were true…perhaps the demonic part is spread too thin to be detected.
Yes, Chad is a full blade living sword because both his parents were half-blades.
But, surely the inferrence is that a half-blade’s ancestry must include full-blades?
And, the prevelance of swords would explain the thinning of the 8th demonic influence.
However, if any of the earliest swords still exist (e.g. if Grelf’s stil has his sharp club), then they might hold enough to have an effect if combined with other demon sword samples.
possibly. i do wonder if the 8th demon is unconscious. I’d imagine they’d interfere by now if they weren’t. and on that note, what would happen should the demon regain consciousness?
A bad day for sentient blades (full, half, quarter & other fractions), and possibly mimics as well.
Thankfully, we know Stabnarok won’t happen until there have been at least 2 beautiful days in New Kargob City.
