Not being familiar with Stabward society, I can think of only 2 uses for the Stabwad Repellent for this particular quest:
- Stabwads live in groups, and as the quest specifically asks for a single kill, the repellent is to be deployed after said kill, so the adventurer does not need to kill his way back from the group.
- Stabwads are largely solitary, and the adventurer is an idiot who would deploy the repellent before he can make the kill, thus forewarning any potential victims of his approach, and making any kill that much harder.
Repellent could also be thrown or sprayed into a stabwad’s den to make it come out, or strategically applied around an area to restrict its movements, making it easier to corner.
