If the owner paid 1000 gold, but will sell for 990, and the sword could cut through 1000 men, do you think it’s only been used on 10 men so far?

Good sword. Just carry another different sword as backup. Then you can gamble on it with any would-be Black Knights wearing enough armor to obscure their identity. Not being able to cut a woman wouldn’t stop it from being able to interact with their weapon.
