Dream Princess whhyyyy!
The Nightmare Realm probably is a dangerous place, and Quest probably can’t do it by himself, but he needs his Momma!

Because the Dream Princess has a better plan*, that doesn’t involve the mortals risking their physical selves in the Dream Realm.
*all go to sleep, so that their dreamselves (plus the wooden sword & wooden shield) can fight in their stead!

What do you guys think happens if you die in the dream realm?

In our reality, you just wake up. And probably scream for a bit.
In the Swordverse, they’d probably not fair so well.
However, my point was that the Wooden Sword and Shield are potentially extra combatants in the Dream Realm, but just so much wood in the waking world.
