How the absolute heck did we not see this! The Demon of Eternal Slumber has been an integral part of Quest Sprout’s storyline, and the Pest Sprout has the exact same color scheme. We’re idiots.

Over on the Discord people have been chatting about this for a little while. We noticed they had similar color schemes and I figured there was some connection. (Also I mentioned it in a forum post on here back in February.)

Other updates and assorted questions:
-Someone on the Discord just found out that Pest was actually in a ton of the early Quest Sprout episodes, right from the very first one. All the Quest episodes from CDI through CDXL, except for the dream sequence and the Fourth of July episode, contain Pest Sprout as well! Big shoutout to Techno-Danger’s Sword for pointing this out.
-Duckliker, absolutely! That was also one of my first thoughts on reading this episode. I totally thought Brad Nite was just a straw man character intended to be a jerk, and was wondering why he was even tagged on CV given that only his hand is in the frame. Also, holy crap, that was episode 105, and we’re past 650 now! That’s some serious planning, yeesh.
-Who the hell is Bograk’s champion? And why did the Human Demigod let Eternal Slumber’s physical form out of sight in the first place? Wasn’t that kind of their job?
-The Sword of Eternal Slumber can do illusions, apparently… how? Does it have dream powers? Because from what I remember Boundless Hunger couldn’t do much besides stab stuff.
-How is Pest Sprout related to all this? What even are they?
-I was really eager to see how the other swords possessed people! Obviously Boundless Hunger’s strategy had to do with eating, but I was wondering whether that worked differently for other swords. And it does, and I love that! Though I’m still pretty curious about how that worked when Absolute Fury and Relentless Omens possessed people. Hopefully we’ll get to see that at some point.

This is glorious and I can’t wait to see what happens. (Though don’t I say that every time?)

I thought that was a familiar colour scheme! Also, I’m glad Quest Sprout’s Mom wasn’t redesigned to have such pointed eyes.

Wait I have a little question (not about this comic) is about hellswing, if hellswing is killed before the demon king fight then how did he appear here ? Swords | CCV - Witch Hunter so hellswing is not wairth with a scar this is just weird… and FINALLY another demon is commin into an action, I wonder if qwest sprout gonna be the main this time and ALL PHRAISE THE CUTE

(1) The episode you’re talking about took place before the Demon King was defeated, sometime around the last round of the tournament. At some point soon after this Hellswing went into the woods for some reason and got stabbed. Wraith with Scar is definitely him, the scar is in the exact same place and the clothes on his corpse exactly match.

(2) Fury has not had a direct sequel yet, but we do know the Mysterious Dwarf is lying about them being gone. Plus in CDVI the dogman has a pendant with the two-eyed wolf symbol, showing that Fury is known and renowned among Dogmen.

But why the hell would hellswing going into the forest and I’m not sure if hellswing body become a bone that fast, I mean did bread knight even took that long to get to demon king? Also base on the time sword I see that some kind of revolution will happened.last question why is there no more develop on endless chaos? Its just seem some ritual on hilt rock, and base of the look of endless chaos he’s seem pretty weak maybe stronger than boundless hunger

And if that quest sprout mom is eternal slumber than who is pest sprout base on that kind of color,I think he’s gonna be a separate species from slumber or the possessed quest sprout cause in Swords | DCXVIII - The Wizard Ball there approve to be more than just one quest sprout

Also reply to your very long comment up over there, I think sacred oats don’t have possessed power, AND endless chaos already possessed some one due to he’s getting out on Swords | CCCLXI - Cutting It Close

(1) Bread knight took a year to get from Hiltshire to the Worselands, where the Demon King was. I have no clue why Hellswing went into the forest, maybe to get to the fight with the Demon King. Though I will also point out that while Hellswing was definitely dead when that fight happened, he may not have been a skeleton yet- we don’t know when that comic is compared to the fight.

(2) When you say a revolution will happen, do you mean the raised fists just below the hilt? I thought that was for some tournament or something because they’re saying “Strike! Strike!” Though it could be a revolution too, good catch.

(3) Yeah, I’m excited to see what happens with Endless Chaos too! Good point that he can also possess people. I figure he’s probably going to end up possessing Stroller but hey we’ll see.

(4) Yeah, I’m very curious about who Pest Sprout is. However, it’s my crazy fantheory that that painting in the Wizard Ball is just a painting of Quest Sprout after they become Bograk’s champion. We’ll probably see, there have been a lot of big reveals over the last few months.

Good points, and sorry for my continual long-windedness XD

Still think the wizard balls is not somewhere near the end, maybe just before the old Hilton appear ,since he’s look old in wizard ball we can think that the ball happened some where before the demon king fight and the swor’nament and ghost with a wairth personality is different too, also who stab kill hellswing and I’ll still think hellswing is not wairth with a scar.also is kinda funny that Greg vane was a very big part of the first sequel but Greg himself just well 2 page one talking about the sword, others well ded, and did glaive burned down by toast knight? Also quest sprout in a bigggg trouble cause slumber is the strongest demon, sacred on strong for cause he’s still demon form and do you spot some purple dots in the left of brad nite body? Also Kargob in replace is kinda similar to cleavus maybe is he’s true form, and sacred oats not getting to much out of control because in Swords | DCXXXVII - Counselling Session He’s only do some weird stuff also in this episode we can see that boundless hunger definitely not dead yet since they say expel it from the moral realm which mean is still exits in some form of life, and sickle more of a kargob champion replace for xiphos cause well she’s purple, what if there is a qwest tree?

I do feel the need to point out that, to my knowledge, we don’t know when the friendly ghosts story takes place on the timeline, so Hellswing could be dead for years. Matthew has shown an impressive ability to integrate storylines from multiple points on the timeline.

I think their point was that Hellswing was still alive after the lesser demons trashed Hiltshire, but the wraiths were visible in that comic where Quest Sprout and the Sword Dragon decide not to fight the Demon King.
