I know a child who reacted about this way when they were just about to have their third birthday.
While they were being read Winnie the Pooh, in the part where Winnie and Piglet are digging a hole for Heffalump, the child started crying loudly, and then sobbing: ‘‘It was just walking and it fell down and it could not go back to its mother and father and it was walking and it fell down and it was walking and it fell down and it could not go back to its mother and father and it fell down and … (etc.)!’’
Although Heffalump hadn’t even really fallen in the hole yet, the kid was seriously angry at those evil Winnie and Piglet for plotting against it!
That kid has such a strong sense of moral that they’d definitely leave riding the dragon if they were in this situation!
Well this isn’t in order cronologically, but then again when has it ever been?
Those two for defending the twosome, are what I’d define as true friends.
