Ummm… okay. I might be crazy for seeing a lot of lore in this episode but just hear me out!
We have seen a few different universes so far in the comic. Namely, Sword, Axe, and Gun (if there are any more, feel free to let me know). It’s important to note that I’m not talking about different worlds (like the Lionperson world) or dimensions (like the sword office dimension), but different universes.
So, in the Light before Time and the Darkness before Time, (the Crossroads of Time Arc) Pandemonium forges weapons out of their tentacles to threaten the gods. Those weapons are:
Absolute Fury - Axe
Unspeakable Darkness - Spear
Eternal Slumber - Halberd
Endless Chaos - Mace
Relentless Omens - Bow
Original 7-eyed demon - Sword
Sacred Oaths - Gun
So, the only tentacle to not forge a weapon so far is Boundless Hunger (the three-eyed sword that has consumed most of the comic so far). Why that is, I don’t have a good guess yet, it’ll proabably change when Matthew picks up the story again. But that’s not the main point of this theory. (I gues it’s possible that there is a Shield universe, so maybe Boundless Hunger will form a shield? I’m not sure whether that comic takes place in another universe or is just a throwaway joke)
What I’m getting at, is that those three/four universes we have seen (Sword, axe, (shield?) and gun), correspond with some of those demon arms. Now, I think people have already theorized that the sword demon was severed from Pandemonium to form the Sword Universe, and all the other demons were sealed on the world as Swords, but what if it’s even more complicated than that?
What if Pandemonium was completley severed, each demon separated from each other? What if each demon was used to form a universe, and their siblings were sealed as axes or guns or spears or whatever on each universe?
The biggest problem I see with this theory is that the Axe (and Shield?) universe are labeled under the noncanon tab, but I think it’s possible that that happened before this part of the storyline was created, or started being implemented in the way it’s being now.

The Boundless Hunger tentacle struck Baltad directly without a weapon, which I interpreted as it being “Unarmed” combat, aka Muscles.

Huh, theres an idea. Muscles is in the noncanon page with the other alternate universes, after all.
