No… no I do not get the cultural reference.
Welcome to the club.
It’s a LOTR reference! In The Fellowship of the Ring, Frodo asks who the man in the corner is (Aragorn, “He’s one of them Rangers”)
A Bilbo is a 16th-century sword and also y’know
So, is this a 16th century pop culture reference, or a mid-20th century pop culture reference?
Or, is it a 5th quadricentury pop culture reference?
Also, it’s lucky Matt didn’t specify which corner the hooded figure was in, as it probably wouldn’t be wise to draw attention to the US politician who spent most of the early-to-mid 20th century as governor then senator for the state of Mississippi.
Ah, so it’s a sword culture reference. I should have known.
