Have we seen this particular cursed language before?
I’ve been looking for 7-letter verbs that are synonyms for “grow”, where all the letters are different. So far, I’ve come up with “amplify”, “augment” or “burgeon”.
Well, look at that. Another handle and pommel being used as a wand. I wonder which sword it’s from.

That’s true.
However, Matt rarely uses characters that resemble the letters that they’re representing in his Swords languages.
Apart from Runes, which are occasionally just words written vertically in a funny script.
I’m gonna guess the magic word is “BROADEN”

It’s Broaden. It took me a bit and it certainly helps that all the letters are different, and the word does almost appear later in the panels.

I think I must’ve subconsciously discounted “broaden” as it seemed too obvious.

It fits with the idea of the letters being similar to English, I can see the “ROADE” in the middle.

Honestly I think that was my issue at first too
Lifelong experience with trick questions and dad jokes has taught me not to do that.
