This implies that all soulswords are capable of gaining sword souls at 100 years as well, so Kris’s immortality offer needs a footnote that after a century you’ll be stuck with a roommate.
And then I wonder if it’s commutative, in other words could you reverse the order and take a 100 year sword and necromance another soul into it? Could that be done to a godsword? And since swords aren’t limited to a single soul, is there an upper limit? Could you necromance an arbitrary number of souls into a sword and/or combine multiple 100 year swords and create the Hundred Soul Sword? Would this incredible blade have any practical value or just be a cause of insanity to its residents and its wielder?
Wait, could you perform the soulsword ritual on the Merblade using the Merblade’s own soul, so that they possess their own original body!? Does that effectively make the Merblade immortal, or is it just a zombie sword? Also, does the 100 year soul only appear on a Merblade that has lived for 100 years, or can it arise in a dead Merblade?
